Bill retired from the U.S. Army where he served in multiple high-level overseas combat logistical positions and key research, development, and procurement assignments. His entire career has centered on making supply chains nimbler and more responsive.
As Site Director of Clemson University’s Department of Defense (DoD)-sponsored model factory, he held responsibilities for locating, developing, integrating, and demonstrating the world’s most advanced manufacturing and supply chain technologies and management practices. Bill holds BS and MS degrees in Textile Technology from North Carolina State University, an MBA with a concentration in logistics from Babson College, and is a graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
Prior to joining BI, Steven served as President & CSMO of Awnex, Inc., an architectural element design, manufacturing, and installation company servicing the Restaurant and Retail Industry. He also served as President of Nester Software Technologies, a software company specializing in manufacturing optimization systems and services.
With more than 25 years of experience in promoting advanced manufacturing technologies, Steven has also served in a variety of corporate management, marketing, sales, and professional services positions with John E. Fox Inc., Microdynamics Inc., Apparel Computer Systems (ACS), and Eton Systems.
McLendon is a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. He has chaired several industry association committees with American Apparel and Footwear Assn. and the National Textile Center.
